The medical assistant is educated and trained to perform administrative and clinical skills in a variety of settings including doctors' offices, hospitals and clinics.

Learn medical terminology, body systems, optometry, EKG, phlebotomy, autoclave, CPR and first aid, OSHA safety standards, and other medical specialties. Gain an understanding of office procedures such as patient billing, medical records, purchasing supplies and filing insurance claims.

NEW! Starting Fall 2016, along with the current 2-year program, we will be launching a 1-year Medical Assistant program at the EVIT Main Campus.  This program will be open to high school student and Adult Education students.

Note: Students participate in externships during the second year of the program and must provide own transportation to clinical sites. Students may be randomly drug tested.
