A nursing assistant works under the supervision of a nurse to provide daily basic care for patients in hospitals, physician’s offices, private homes, clinics and assisted living facilities.First
semester, learn CPR, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, vital signs, hygiene, human reproduction, basic nutrition and patient care.
During the second semester, students work in clinical settings to master the skills required for the state certification exam.Note:
Students must provide transportation to clinical settings and internship sites, and have proof of immunization or evidence of immunity to certain communicable illnesses, and have a current TB skin test.
