EVIT CTED Satellite Programs

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Phoenix East Valley high schools

Career and technical education (CTE) options abound for high school students in the EVIT CTED’s 11 member school districts. In addition to more than 40 programs they can take at EVIT’s central campuses, there are many CTE programs offered at their high schools. These satellite programs are provided by the school districts on behalf of EVIT. Satellite programs are typically 50 minutes each day, although some satellite programs do offer longer block or modified block options. In comparison, programs at EVIT’s central campuses are two and half hours each day, with the exception of Cosmetology, which is four hours.

Some CTE programs are offered both as high school satellites and as central campus options. Students can choose to enroll in either option. EVIT encourages students to tour the EVIT central campuses and talk with their parents and counselors about which option best suits their schedule and career goals before making a decision.

A wide range of innovative CTE programs are offered as satellites, such as the Creative Musical Arts and Sciences (CMAS) program at Arcadia High School in the Scottsdale district, award-winning agriculture programs in Gilbert Public Schools, high-achieving Medical Professions programs in Chandler Unified School District and innovative Biotechnology and Biomedicine programs in Mesa Public Schools.
