CARES Act 2020

    1. East Valley Institute of Technology has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
    2. East Valley Institute of Technology has received $236,124 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
    3. East Valley Institute of Technology has distributed $198,262 of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of October 1, 2021.
    4. East Valley Institute of Technology has 601 total students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
    5. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is 400.
    6. East Valley Institute of Technology utilized a needs based application developed by a neutral Third Party to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
    7. East Valley Institute of Technology. Students applications were sent out on June 18, 2020 and the review process will begin immediately upon receipt and completed by September 30, 2021. All student notifications will be sent out by October 1. Checks will be mailed to eligible students by October 15, 2021 to their mailing address on file.
