Readers of the East Valley Tribune have voted the East Valley Institute of Technology as the Best Public School/District in Mesa – an honor EVIT has won several times since 2013. Also, for the first time, Superintendent Dr. Chad Wilson was recognized as Best Education Leader in Mesa.

The annual contest in the Tribune allows readers to select the “best” in numerous categories, from restaurants to doctors to schools and much more. In addition to EVIT’s wins in the public school and education leader categories, EVIT Graphic/Web Design instructor Eric Perez was voted Best High School Teacher in Mesa, an honor he has earned several times over the years.

EVIT also placed in several other categories:

  • Digital Device Diagnostic & Repair instructor Jared Bodine – 2nd Place, Best High School Teacher
  • Medical Assistant instructor Laura McKinley – Honorable Mention, Best High School Teacher
  • Director of Legal Services Kevin Koelbel -- Honorable Mention, Best Lawyer
  • EVIT -- 2nd Place, Best Place to Work
  • EVIT -- 3rd Place, Best Customer Service
  • EVIT – Honorable Mention, Best Kept Secret

The East Valley Institute of Technology is a public Career Technical Education District (CTED) providing career training for high school students and adults at two central campuses in Mesa and a branch campus at Apache Junction High School.
