This year’s show is being directed by instructor Landry Low, who completed EVIT’s fashion program in 2011, winning $94,000 in scholarships to attend the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York. After earning her bachelor of fine arts degree and designing her own collections, she decided to return to EVIT this year to teach the next generation. Visit her teacher page:

EVIT’s talented fashion design students recently returned from the state Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competition where they medaled in every event they entered, bringing home a gold medal, two silver medals and two bronze medals. Two students qualified to represent Arizona in the national FCCLA competition.

Fashion Design & Merchandising is one of more than 40 career training programs offered by EVIT for East Valley high school students and adults. High school students attend tuition-free; adults pay tuition, with financial available in several programs for those who qualify.
