Congrats, adult students!
We are pleased to celebrate the accomplishments of 41 students in
Adult Education @ EVIT who are completing their programs this semester. Thirty-four students have completed career training in Cosmetology, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant and Surgical Technologist. Many of these students completed their training while also working full-time. And seven adult students completed the high school equivalency program to earn their GED. Congratulations to all of our adult program completers!
EVIT Expo
On Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will host our annual EVIT Expo at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell (Main) Campus, 1601 W. Main St., Mesa. This is a great opportunity to see the Main Campus and learn about programs offered at Main and at our East Campus. The event also includes trolley tours, food trucks, games and more for the whole family. Get more info at

Foundation breakfast
The EVIT Foundation will host its annual gourmet fundraiser breakfast at 7 a.m., March 31 in the Culinary Arts Banquet Hall at the Main Campus. This year’s guest speaker: Gov. Doug Ducey! The foundation provides financial assistance to low-income EVIT students who need help paying program fees. To learn more and reserve your seats for the breakfast, visit

Tours, tours, tours
For the past couple of months, it seems like we have given campus tours to East Valley high school students nearly every day. We appreciate our school districts who have sent buses of students to tour and learn more about EVIT. Also, thanks to our charter schools and private schools who have transported students to see an EVIT campus.

Long-time EVIT governing board member Dolores Watkins recently resigned her District 8 seat. For more information, visit

The Maricopa County School Superintendent will make the final decision on candidates to fill the two vacancies. We want to thank Mrs. Crandell and Mrs. Watkins for their years of dedicated service to EVIT students, families, staff and taxpayers.
