College Credit & Dual Enrollment

EVIT students can get a jump-start on their college education or advanced degree with dual enrollment and/or college credit through local community colleges while attending EVIT as a high school student.


DUAL ENROLLMENT

Dual enrollment is offered at an affordable rate from the various community colleges and is updated on a regular basis with new programs and credits being offered each year.

The following EVIT programs currently offer dual enrollment:

Through Mesa Community College:
● Digital Animation
● Behavior, Mental and Social Health Services
● Coding and Mobile App Design
● Digital Device Diagnostic & Repair
● Early Childhood Education
● Fire Science
● Graphic/Web Design
● Network Security

● Software and App Design
● Technology Device Repair
● Radio/Audio Production

Through Scottsdale Community College:
● Culinary Arts
● Commercial Baking & Pastry Arts
● Interior Design & Merchandising

Through Chandler-Gilbert Community College:
● Aviation
● Criminal Justice

NOTE:  Information will be sent out to parents of dual enrollment eligible students once the Fall 2023 begins, and Maricopa Community College District personnel will also visit EVIT in the Fall to assist with Registration. 


PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT

EVIT students have the ability to receive credit at no cost for college-level learning that was
done prior to enrolling at the college. These programs have been articulated for transfer credit to
specific programs of study. These credits are only awarded if you enroll at the specific college
listed and in the programs as it is listed. This credit is referred to as Prior Learning Assessment
(PLA) (A.R 2.2.4)

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT

Concurrent enrollment students take college courses through the college and with the college
faculty while enrolled at EVIT.
